Preventive care and screenings

Routine checks that catch problems early, often before symptoms appear.

What it is

Preventive care includes blood pressure checks, cholesterol and blood sugar testing, cancer screenings, vaccines and lifestyle review, matched to your age, history and risk.

Common signs
  • Often no symptoms at all
  • Family history of heart disease, diabetes or cancer
  • Overdue for a check or vaccine
  • New risk factors such as weight change or smoking
What care may look like

At a preventive visit we review your history, update your record, check vital signs, and agree which screenings and vaccines are due. Results are explained plainly and any follow-up is planned with you.

What you can do now
  • Know your numbers: blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar
  • Keep vaccines up to date
  • Move most days and eat mostly whole foods
  • Avoid tobacco; keep alcohol low
  • Bring your medicine list to every visit
When to contact us

Book if you are due for a check-up, have a new family diagnosis, or are not sure which screenings apply to you.
